"This place is so wonderful I would easily return again."

June 14, 2017 review on TripAdvisor

Pros: Easy to find, easy access to other spots and locations, perfect wifi and TV, super super pet friendly, and wonderful breakfast.
Cons: none... seriously. I honestly couldn't find one thing wrong with this motel lodge if I tried.

On a whim, I traveled up to Maine to get away from work pressures, so I booked a last minute reservation with myself and my three dogs. We showed up just as staff was closing up, but I had been in touch previously to let them know I would be arriving late, so everything was prepared for me to get to my room anyway.

The room was amazing. I had a back porch that lead out to the trail. The trail was really wonderful and nicely marked for me and the dogs. I felt safe even walking the dogs late at night or early in the morning. There is a lot of land to walk, and I met up with a friend while there so we enjoyed the picnic tables with the dogs at our feet, too. One of the benefits is that dogs do not have to be kenneled while you are away (but housekeeping won't come - not a problem for me). I had work to do and the wifi was perfect. The tv and the number of stations were great too! I had a fridge in my room which was also super convenient. The room was very basic but I had no problem with space when it came to me and three dogs.

Breakfast changes each morning so there’s always a surprise – you can expect a hot breakfast with yogurt parfaits, fruit, juices, coffee, tea, etc. I was more than content to start my day each morning with that breakfast. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The place is family owned and run, and has some history to it - which I thought was really sweet.

My room was right next to a staff entry/exit, which worried me because I have dogs who bark at the slightest sound – but even as staff came and went, I literally never heard a single sound and the dogs never barked while I was in the room with them. Location is spot on - close to Shaw’s, Dunkin, and a Circle K if you want to keep snacks in your room. Easy to find from major roads, and other towns, and not far from Boothbay Harbor either, if you want to go there for the day. Really quiet setting even with it sitting off a major road. I was more than happy with my stay and would easily book Wiscasset Woods Lodge for another getaway! For pet owners, this place is a must.
